Im Jahr 2000 gründete sich aus der Frauensportgruppe unseres Vereins eine Bauchtanzgruppe.

Nach einem Schnupperkurs, geleitet von Carola Meißner, der späteren Deutschen Meisterin im Bauchtanz, hatten ca. 14 Frauen Interesse an diesem schönen Tanz gefunden.

Schon nach nicht mal einem halben Jahr Training hatten wir die ersten Tänze einstudiert und zum Burgstallfest in Seegrehna den ersten Auftritt absolviert. Wir ernteten viel Anerkennung und Bewunderung und das motivierte uns, weiterzumachen. Die ersten Kostüme waren noch selbst genäht, erst nach und nach vervollständigten wir unser Outfit, teilweise wurden die Kostüme im Internet ersteigert oder von Urlaubsreisen in orientalische Länder mitgebracht.

Durch Mundpropaganda wurden wir in der näheren Umgebung bekannt und für Familienfeiern, Dorffeste, u. a. gebucht.

Sogar im Funk und Fernsehen konnte man uns schon sehen. So kam ein Filmteam des MDR zu uns in die Burgstallklause und drehte einen Beitrag für die Sendereihe „Außenseiter, Spitzenreiter“. Auch beim Grand – Prix „Goldener Herbst“ haben wir teilgenommen und uns bei einem von 6 Vorentscheiden für das Finale in Berlin – Marzahn qualifiziert und einen guten fünften Platz von 20 Teilnehmern erreicht.

Auch beim Sachsen – Anhalt – Tag 2009 in Thale haben wir mehrere Tänze gezeigt.

Wir sind bemüht, immer wieder neue Tänze einzustudieren, dies ist nicht ganz einfach, da wir nur im 14 – täglichen Rhythmus trainieren. Aber alle sind mit viel Spaß und auch Ehrgeiz dabei und wir haben schon viele Feiern durch unsere Auftritte bereichern können.

Da unsere Gruppe nun schon über 10 Jahre besteht und wir kaum Nachwuchs dazu bekommen haben, würden wir uns über Interessierte Frauen oder Mädchen sehr freuen.
